Brad and Amy Smith announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Rachel Smith, of Brookhaven, to Blake Walker, of Brookhaven.

Walker is the son of Dean Walker and Patty Russell.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Betty Jo & Ricky Smith, Ann & Jimmy Smith, and Cheryl Smith.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Karen Lynette Smith.

Miss Smith is a 2020 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and is a medical biology student at Mississippi College.

Mr. Walker is a 2021 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and is a triple medical science major at Mississippi College.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, in Destin, Florida.
