When is Halloween this year? As always, it’s October 31.

When is trick-or-treating in the city? Well, that’s on Halloween this year, too.

The City of Brookhaven says, Trick-or-treat, walk the streets of Brookhaven 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

While the city itself does not sponsor trick-or-treating, the Mayor’s Office suggests this time period for door-to-door candy-seeking activity.

“As always, please take extra health and safety measures. Motorists are reminded to use extreme caution when driving,” a representative from the office said.

Malicious mischief is never OK, even on Halloween, so respecting private and public property is strongly encouraged.
