Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma recognized Millie Porter with the Red Rose Award for 2021. Ms. Polly Ann White presented her with the award. This award recognizes people in the community that have an impact on education. Porter began the Reading Nook to meet the needs of students. The school has grown from a small one-room school to a new building with multiple teachers and over a hundred students.
