The Brookhaven Academy peewee basketball teams capped their season with the championship tournament at Parklane Academy on Saturday. The teams from BA play in a league with Parklane, Columbia Academy, East Rankin Academy, Central Hinds Academy and Copiah Academy. Both the fifth- and sixth-grade boys’ teams captured first place with wins over host Parklane. The sixth-grade girls’ team finished runners-up in their division.
Members of the fifth-grade boys’ teams include Reece Robinson, Carter Evans, Luke Patton, Brice Wilson, Jackson Edwards, Wilks Carter, coach Casey Carter, JB Baker, Cruz Hamil, Jaylen Price and Garrett Mowdy.
