Brookhaven Police Department Sgt. Willie “Ben” Harrison, retired, died Thursday morning. Harrison, 56, served the City of Brookhaven for more than 20 years prior to retiring due for health-related issues.

“The Brookhaven Police Department would like to extend our prayers and condolences to his friends and family,” a notice from the department read. “Sgt. Harrison will be remembered by all the officers he assisted in mentoring.”
