Looking for something to do with the family this year on Halloween weekend? Here are some of the events going on around the area.
Thursday, Oct. 28
Halloween – Fall Fest will be at Exchange Club Park 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 3-6 p.m. Saturday. Gate fee is $5 and rides armband is $10. There will be a kids costume contest and jack-o-lantern contest Saturday. Jack-o-lanterns submitted must be carved before bringing to the park.
Saturday, Oct. 30
Brookhaven – 5-8 p.m. neighborhood Trick-or-Treating
Monticello – 5:30-7:30 p.m. neighborhood Trick-or-Treating
Krystal’s in Brookhaven – 1-3 p.m., Hallowe’en face painting for children in costume
Dr. AL Lott Sportsplex – Lincoln County Halloween Truck or Treat community event with games, costume contents, loudest scream contest, haunted hayride and more
Cooper’s Ferry Park, Monticello – 2-5 p.m., Halloween Block Party, photo stations, Velcro wall, face painting, trick ‘r treat, pumpkin patch, costume contest, paint your pumpkin
Sunday, Oct. 31
Lincoln County Multi-Purpose Building – Halloween barrel races and family games, 2-4 p.m. racing; 4-5:30 p.m. Halloween Ghoul games ; 5:30-6 p.m. costume contest; bring your own stick for the broomstick barrel race, candy corn hat throw, trick or treat throughout the horse trailers
FBC Brookhaven – 4-6 p.m., Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat, 200 E. Monticello St., enter the main parking lot heading east on Monticello Street
