Wesson 12U capture state, world series titles

- Photo submitted The summer has been one of success for the Wesson 12U Softball All-Stars. In June the team captured first place at the Fastpitch American Softball Association (FASA) state championship in Clinton. That earned them a spot in the FASA World Series played earlier this month in Pascagoula. In Pascagoula they won the Rec Division Championship with a two game sweep of the Atoka All-Stars from Atoka, Tennessee and were third-place finishers in the C-Class division. Team members include, front row, Blair Winscott, Preslee Newman, Kenslie Carter, Autumn Taylor, Gracie Sims; back row, coach Timbo Taylor, Lauryn Lee, Maddie Sanders, coach Mark Sanders, Mia Lee, Meagan Wilson, coach Marty Sims, Nikki Berch, Jaide Shoop and coach Jamie White.
