Co-Lin announces upcoming leadership changes

The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Board of Trustees recently elected new officers and approved some organizational changes.

Associate Vice President of Instructional Services Jackie Martin, of Brookhaven, has been transferred to vice president of the Wesson campus. She will oversee instructional programs including academic, career-technical and workforce education; and student services including enrollment services, housing, financial aid and athletics.

Wesson campus Director of Enrollment Services Samantha Speeg, also of Brookhaven, will continue in that role and take on the job of college registrar.

Simpson County Center Vice President Dr. Dewayne Middleton has been named the executive vice president of the college, overseeing operations on all three campuses, as well as institutional effectiveness and college accreditation.

Melton King of Adams County was named new board chairman, Dr. Troy Stewart Sr. of Copiah County was elected new vice chair and Barry Tyson of Franklin County was re-elected as secretary of the board.

All changes are effective July 1.
