Brookhaven Police Department detectives are investigating a double shooting that took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday on Amite Road.

Police responded to reports of gunshots fired. Two individuals were taken by ambulance to King’s Daughters Medical Center, where at least one was transported by helicopter to another medical facility.

The identities of neither shooter(s) nor victim(s) have been released to the public, nor their condition.
