Sunny days in the forecast for most of the week

No rain is expected for the area in the next few days as mostly sunny skies are in the forecast.
Today is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 87, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson. Calm winds up to 5 mph will blow east-southeast throughout the afternoon and night. Monday night’s low is 63, with skies becoming clearer.
Tuesday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 86 and a light south wind of 5-10 mph in the morning hours. Winds will die down and a low of 64 will be felt throughout the area.
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be mostly clear to sunny with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid-to-upper 60s.
Friday will bring a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., dropping to about 10% around 7 p.m. A high near 89 will make it feel like summer during the sunny day and Friday night will have a low of about 68.
There is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s.
