Candidate petitions for school board positions are being accepted at the Lincoln County Circuit Clerk’s office through Sept. 4 at 5 p.m.

Open positions are Lincoln County School Board Education Districts 3 and 4 (six-year terms), and Brookhaven School Board District At-Large (a five-year term).

The public will vote on these positions during the general election on Nov. 3.

Diane Gill has submitted paperwork to run for LCSD ED-4 and Jason Childress has submitted paperwork to run for BSD DAL.

Absentee voting for the Senate special election on Sept. 22 is also available through Sept. 19 for those unable to vote in person Sept. 22. The Circuit Clerk’s office will be open Saturday, Sept. 19, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
