Janie Louise Chamblee, 85, of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on June 26, 2020 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

She was born on December 26, 1934 to the late Reuben Wesley Gray and Annie George Gray.

Mrs. Chamblee enjoyed working in her flower gardens, playing with her puppy, Max, and loving on her great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Castle Chamblee; daughter, Janice Chamblee Barnes; and siblings Clark Gray, Woodard Gray, Bernard Gray, Cecil Gray, Aubert Gray, Marie Pierce and Kate Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Chamblee, and wife Wendy; daughter, Malinda Sellers, and husband Stuart; six grandchildren, William Chamblee, Margaret White, Castle Sellers, Marshall West, Joseph Barnes Jr. and Jonathan Barnes. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Joseph Barnes and wife, Tammy.
