Lady Panthers get 11 hits in 15-5 win over Franklin County
The Brookhaven High Lady Panthers piled up the hits Thursday in getting their first win of the season — a 15-5 victory over Franklin County.
Kyla Henderson drove in a team-high four runs for coach Mandy Vinson. Madi Miller and Meg Foster drove in three runs each and Emma Campbell also had a pair of RBIs.
Foster and Lynsey Nations each had a triple at the plate.
Kaysha Register also hit safely for BHS while Novalee Sullivan, Nations, and Register drove in one run each.
Maggie Reynaud picked up the pitching win after giving up two earned runs on 88 pitches over five innings. She walked five and struck out four while giving up only three hits.
Franklin County committed seven errors in the loss. Brookhaven High (1-3) will host their annual tournament today.
