Shutting it down for the president — What’s closed, what’s open on Presidents Day

Several local government and business offices will be closed Monday in observance of George Washington’s Birthday, commonly known as Presidents Day.
The Daily Leader’s office will be open all day Monday.
Arrow Disposal Service Inc. will run a normal schedule.
The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will be closed Monday.
Brookhaven and Monticello town halls will be closed for Presidents Day. Wesson, Bude and Meadville town halls will be open.
Lincoln County, Franklin County and Lawrence County governments will be closed, while Copiah County’s offices will be open.
The Department of Public Safety Driver License Office by Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M on Hwy. 84 will be closed.
The Brookhaven and Copiah County school districts’ offices will be open Monday, while Brookhaven Academy, and schools for Lincoln, Lawrence, Franklin and Copiah counties will be closed. Copiah-Lincoln Community College will be open.
Washington’s Birthday is one of the 10 holidays observed by the United States Post Office, and both Brookhaven post offices will be closed.
