The funeral service for Mrs. Anita Faye Pugh will be at noon, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at Monticello Baptist Church, with interment at the church cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Pugh, 85, of Monticello, Mississippi, passed from this life Oct. 22, 2019, at Lawrence County Hospital. She was born March 10, 1934, to her parents, Marion Frank Trawick and Kathryn Ellen Sark Trawick. Mrs. Pugh was employed at the Lawrence County Hospital as an insurance clerk before retiring. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church. A true woman of faith and values, she loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them and spending time with each one. She also enjoyed her faith family, going to her Sunday School class and worship at Monticello Baptist. She will be missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terry Trawick; and son-in-law, Randy Foster.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Joseph Earl Pugh; daughters, Debra Faye Foster, Suanne Foster and Vicki Darlene Godwin; sister, Shirley Ann McCall; five grandchildren, Stacey Foster, Joseph Foster, Skye Smith, Mandy Foster and Douglas Godwin; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
