(AP) — A man wanted in a stabbing on Mississippi State University’s campus has surrendered to police.
News outlets report 28-year-old Jessie Michael McGee Jr. was charged Saturday with aggravated assault.
MSU spokesman Sid Salter says investigators and the school believe McGee stabbed 31-year-old Morgan Hill over a workplace dispute. Hill and McGee were both custodial employees at the Colvard Student Union, where the attack occurred Friday.
Hill’s condition Saturday was serious but stable.
The investigation is ongoing. It is unclear whether McGee has an attorney.
