Brookhaven High School senior tennis player Maddie Boyte recently signed a letter-of-intent to take the court next year for the Meridian Community College Eagles.

Boyte has been a strong part of the Brookhaven High School tennis program coached by Nancy Fisher in the last few seasons. Boyte has paired with Gray Anding in a strong mixed doubles duo.

Meridian is currently 7-3 this season and is coached by alum Simon Bardell. A native of Australia, Bardell is in his first season leading the program.

Fisher says MCC is getting a strong player in Boyte.

“Maddie has a strong all-court game,” said Fisher. “She’s a team player who is quick and has great court awareness. She has a quiet personality, but she’s a fierce competitor. Meridian made a great choice in recruiting her and she will be a strong asset for their team next season.”
