The West Lincoln Lady Bears advanced to the state finals with a 53-50 win over Calhoun City in the MHSAA 2A semifinals Tuesday morning.
West Lincoln will play at 1 p.m. Friday against the winner of Newton versus Puckett.
WL sophomore forward Brittany Sturkey had a huge game, coming off the bench to score 17 points in 22 minutes. She was 6-of-7 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Senior Elizabeth Stogner had what might have been her best game of the season. She was 3-for-4 from deep for 11 big points.
