Funeral services for Janice Kay Thompson, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with burial at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Dr. Garland Boyd and Bro. James Harris will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson, 62, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 6, 1956, in Brookhaven, to James Alton Case and Minnie Crosby Case. She enjoyed writing, music and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.

Survivors are her son, David Lynn Thompson and wife, Heather; daughter, Breanna West and husband, Gerard Sr.; grandchildren, Tabitha Case, Haize, Anniston, Coen, and Abel Thompson; parents, Minnie Crosby Case and Alton Case; sister, Wanda Coke; brother, Donnie Wayne Case; and a host of family and friends.
