Funeral services for Marteal Jones Gill Dunaway are Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in McCall Creek. Harrigill Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dunaway, 83, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, following a short illness. She was born April 3, 1935 in McCall Creek, MS to the late Richard Lamar and Leta Mae (McGahee) Jones. She grew up and raised her family in Franklin County and lived her final years in Harlem, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Rayford Gill and Ted Dunaway; son, Johnny Gill; granddaughter, Emma Marteal McKinnon; and brothers, Chester Jones, James Jones and Pete Jones.

Survivors are her son, Earl Gill (Alice); daughters, Jeannene Walters (Johnnie), Lynn Campbell (Jerry) and Kathy McKinnon (Gil); sister, Emma Jones Allred; grandchildren, Kelly Walters, Scott Walters (Sanita), Andrew Campbell (Jamie), Rachel Schlesinger, Brittney Gill Cartledge (Ethan), Brooke Gill Adams (Josh), Crystal Gill, Richard Gill and Kade Gill; great- grandchildren, Eli Walters, Kristen Walters, Miah Campbell, Austin Adams, Sonny Walters, Marshall Adams, Shaylee Walters and Savannah Cartledge; and her beloved cat, Daisy.
