Funeral services for Jan Hutson, of Wesson, are today, Oct. 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Sylvarena Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She will lie in state today, Oct. 9, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Hutson, 55, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 16, 1962, to Bobby and Jeannette Wood in Batesville. She was a loving wife, mom and gran to her precious little boys, Hutson and Myles. She was a homemaker and a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her Wesson Wagon Train family. She loved gardening and spending time outside, but her favorite time spent was loving her family, friends and pets, whom she absolutely adored.

Preceding her in death are her parents; niece, Amanda Jo Purser; and grandparents O.C. and Dethel Henderson and Henry and Ella Wood.

Survivors are her husband, Randy Hutson; daughters, Nikki Hutson Smith (Kyle), Lauren Hutson Hontzas (John); sister, Billie Jean Culbreath (Bubba); five grandchildren, Jonathan Hontzas (Heather), William Hontzas, Ana Kelly Hontzas, Hutson Hontzas and Myles Smith.
