Funeral services for Dennie Gerald Foster, of Meadville, are today, Sept. 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Praise Cathedral Church of God in Meadville with burial at Byrds Chapel Cemetery with Navy honors. Rev. Lee Miley will officiate the service. Hartman-Jones Funeral home in Mccomb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 25, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Foster, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 6, 1948, in Brookhaven, to the late, Louie Lee and Mary Nell Prine Foster.

He retired from Pala Interstate after many years of service. After retirement he worked in Guam, the Caribbean and Bermuda as a consultant for refineries. He was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God and a U.S. Navy veteran. He founded Foster Hunting Club in Berrytown and the phrase “that’s a Dennie deer” will be forever used with loving sentiments. He loved his family dearly and was an avid deer hunter who loved riding on four wheelers and hunting with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donnie Lee Foster.

Survivors are his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Ward Foster, of Meadville; son, Jason Foster (Carmen), of Sour Lake, Texas; three daughters, Lisa Spring (Danny), of Brookhaven, Kristy King (Jeffery), of Meadville, and Jessica Campagna (Michael), of Prairieville, Louisiana; two sisters, Eunice Brabham (Alex), of Brookhaven, and Phyllis Francis (Jimmy), of Brookhaven; eighteen grandchildren, Jake Spring (Krysten), Mary Spring Pulliam (Tommy), Rachel Spring, Laura Spring, Dakota White (Rebecca), Montana White (Graham), Trent White, Abbey King, Thomas Foster, Jack Foster, Anna Kate Foster, Claire Campagna, Michael James Campagna, Malachi Campagna and Isaac Campagna; step-grandchildren, Matthew King, Christine King Nevels (Adam) and Nicholas King; great-grandchildren Sarah Spring, John Luke Spring, Crawford Pulliam; step-great-grandchildren, Stephanie Nevels and Addison Nevels (and several on the way); also with numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Jason Foster, Jake Spring, Dakota White, Trent White, Thomas Foster and Jack Foster.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael James Campagna, Malachi Campagna, Isaac Campagna and Prine Covington.
