Joslyn Dunnigan is bright and cheery even when the weather is dull and gray.

Dunnigan, 18, is the daughter of Eddie and Elaine Dunnigan and has eight siblings.

“I love my smile, I try to brighten people’s day all the time,” Dunnigan said.

She is a recent honor graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center, where she was involved in Teenage Republicans, choir and the Loyd Star Hornet Band. She will be attending Jones County Junior College in the fall to major in accounting. 

Dunnigan has lived in Brookhaven all her life. She has worked at Snowhaven Snowballs for a year. When she isn’t working, she attends St. Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys going shopping and catching up on her sleep.

Her favorite food is The Kickin’ Chicken from Broma’s Deli. One thing that a lot of people may not know about Dunnigan is that she can sing. One thing that she can’t go without is her phone, as she is always talking to her friends. 

Dunnigan’s favorite quality about herself is her smile. Her biggest goal in life is to obtain her degree and be able to work and live comfortably.
