Wolfpack finishes 4th, Smith gets All-Tournament honors

Zachary Smith shot a two-day total of 147 (72-75) to finish in fourth place at the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Event No. 5, held at Riverbirch Country Club in Amory.
Smith, a sophomore from Madison, was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
“Right now, Zach is really striking the ball,” said Co-Lin golf coach Ronny Ross. “If he putts well, he will be hard to beat.”
Meridian won the tournament with a blistering five-over par 581. Coming in a distant second was East Central with 631, followed by Itawamba at 632, Co-Lin at 636, and Hinds at 645. East Mississippi finished 43 strokes behind at 688.
For Co-Lin, individually behind Smith were Cameron Little at 157 (83-74), Lucas Brewer at 166 (82-84), Matthew Scoville at 172 (88-84) and Bragg Eplin at 174 (93-81).
The Wolfpack will play in the MACJC State Tournament hosted by East Central Community College April 12-13 at Dancing Rabbit Country Club in Philadelphia.
