Funeral services for Glen Edward McInnis, of Wesson, are Monday, March 12, 2018, at noon at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson, with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. David Patterson and Bro. Tom McCormick will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday, March 12, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

Rev. McInnis, 78, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Wesson, to William Jenner McInnis and Lillie Mae Tarbutton McInnis. On Feb. 24, 2018, he celebrated his 78th birthday and March 2, 2018, he celebrated 56 years of marriage to Betty Sue Parsons McInnis. He served as a bi-vocational pastor at Holly Springs Baptist Church from 1971 to 2014 and worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2000. He served with the Lincoln County Baptist Association and he, along with his wife Betty Sue, traveled all around the Southeast building churches with the Mississippi Nailbenders. He also loved woodworking and gardening.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers Alton and W. J. “Mac” McInnis.

Survivors are his children, Cathy Lane (Chris) Phillips, of Crystal Springs, Richard Glen (Becky) McInnis, of Wesson, J. P. (Lynn) McInnis, of McComb, and Cheryl Renee (J.J.) Welch of, Harrisville; 10 grandchildren, Casey, Cayla, Claire, Victoria, Brianna, Jenner, Brennan, Elisabeth, Will and Sam; one great-granddaughter, Jael; siblings

Bernice Dodd, Claudell Layton, Wayne McInnis and Charles McInnis; and many special nieces and nephews.
