Funeral services for Bettie D. Hoggatt Foster, of Brookhaven, are Monday, March 12, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven. Chaplain Lance Hoggatt will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Monday, March 12,2018, from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Foster, 92, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born April14, 1925, in Brookhaven, to Robert J. Dunn and Mattie M. Dunn. She was retired from South Central Bell. She was a member of Brookway Church of Christ. She liked collecting teapots and antiques. She was a sweet and generous lady. She was a wonderful mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Gerald Hoggatt and Barney Foster.

Survivors are her daughter, Barbara Tisdale and husband Glenn, of Dothan, Alabama; sister, Nell Murray, of Ellisville; sisters-in- law, Helen Hoggatt and Audrey Foster Watts; brother-in- law Wilroy Ratcliff, of Laurel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you from the family to her caregivers Alicia Waldrop, Weston Waldrop, therapy baby, Belinda G. Waldrop, Charlotte Smith, Dr. James Roberts, Dr. Bryan Calcote, Deaconess Home Care for their many years of care and the nurses and therapists especially Michele Gatlin, Shane Prather and Bruce Currie. Also a special thanks to Hospice Ministries Inc. and to her niece Linda B. Wallace and nephew Marlin Wallace for the years of service.

Pallbearers are Marlin Wallace, Paul Wallace, Scott Campbell, Michael Campbell, Ronnie Campbell and Leslie Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Hoggatt, H. M. Randall and Matt Wallace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bettie D. Foster’s name may be made to: Hospice Ministries Inc. or Berean Children’s Home.
