Funeral services for Benita Kay Hutson, of Brookhaven, are Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Bude First Baptist Church with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Bro. Rodney Jones and Dr. Ralph Webber Sr. will officiate the services. Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday, Louisiana, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, from noon until time of service at the church.
Ms. Hutson, 56, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, in Brookhaven. She was born March 27, 1961, in Natchez. She was a member of Bude First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and fellowshipping with her church family. She was a godly woman who enjoyed shopping, spending time and traveling with family and friends, taking her kids and grandkids camping, restaurant hopping, and working with her adopted family at Puckett Machinery of Brookhaven and Flowood.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Ellard Hutson; mother, Juanita Wray Hutson; son, Brandon Tate Burnette; and brother, Martin K. Probst.
Survivors are her son, Justin Bradley Burnette and wife, Annie, of Brookhaven; two daughters, Kyla Smith and husband, Trent, of Brookhaven, and Ashley Holmes and husband, Michael, of Meadville; two brothers, Bruce Probst and wife, Amy, of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Tommy Probst and wife, Cheryl, of Vidalia, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Nikki Burnette, of Vidalia, Louisiana; nine grandsons, Christopher Linder Burnette, Ashtin Castillo, Tiler Castillo, Devin Roberts, Ryder Burnette, Ruger Burnette, Logan Smith, Gage Burnette and Dillon Holmes; and six granddaughters, Brittanie Burnette, Kaylei Castillo, Analei Roberts, Lara Holmes, Rilyn Burnette and Roper Burnette.
Pallbearers will be Ashtin Castillo, Tiler Castillo, Devin Roberts, Christopher Linder Burnette, Lane Sasser and Steven Brumfield.
Honorary pallbearers are Ryder Burnette, Logan Smith, Gage Burnette, Ruger Burnette and Dillon Holmes.
