A Bogue Chitto man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Meridian.

Brandon L. Shaw, 26, died around 4 a.m. Sunday on Hwy. 39 North, near the Alliance Health Center at 5000 Hwy. 39 North, according to The Meridian Star.

Shaw died after his vehicle hit a culvert off the side of the road, according to Sgt. Dareall Thompson with the Meridian Police Department. 

Thompson said the cause of the crash was under investigation.

Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler identified Shaw.
