• Garry J. Byrd was sentenced to a term of five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for unlawful possession of 30 grams but less than 250 grams of marijuana with intent to distribute Jan. 22.

• Deborah Karrie Dunaway pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of at least one tenth but less than two grams of methamphetamine and possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana Jan. 22.
