Cohen Leggett struck down his first-ever buck a couple weeks ago. The 9-year-old son of Chad and Melissa Leggett had been picking this stud up on his game camera all season long and finally got an opportunity to introduce him to the ‘ole 7mm-08 Remington on Jan. 13. The eight-point was only 15 yards away from Cohen, but got startled and retreated a little when the Brookhaven Elementary School third-grader’s rifle barrel slipped off its rest and made a noise. The buck stopped around 35 yards to check out the noise, and Cohen touched the trigger.
