Funeral services for Bo Lowery, of Wesson, are Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Sylvarena Baptist Church with burial at Sylvarena Cemetery.Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. 

Mr. Lowery, 86, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Copiah County Medical Center.He was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church and the American Quarter Horse Association. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a horse trainer and mentored youth in horsemanship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Betty Sullivan Lowery; sons, Sambo Ray and Bob Lowery; and brother, Jack Lowery.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Lowery; son, Tom Lowery (Stacy); daughter, Libbie Assink (Mike); daughter, Linda Mehri; daughter, Cindy McGehee (Jerry); son, Casey Carr (Cherron); son, Logan Carr (Samantha); daughter, Hayley Welch (Aaron); sister, Joyce Raney; brother, Claude Lowery (Marguerite); and 12 grandchildren.
