Funeral services for Bettie Jean Bracey Sidney, of Bogue Chitto, are Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at New Zion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto. Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, from 1 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born July 7, 1946, to Henry and Alline Bracey.

The 1964 valedictorian of Eva H. Harris attended Jackson State University.  She was a licensed cosmetologist and a floral designer. She was the mother of Sonya Michelle, Allen DeMarcus, stepmother of James and Jarvis and widow of James Sidney.
