Funeral services for Cody Dawson Mixon, of Brookhaven, are today, Oct. 26, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. Rev. Roy Craft and Rev. David Hedden will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 26, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Mixon, 16, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017,in Brookhaven. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing video games and watching Netflix. He also enjoyed soccer, baseball and football. He was a kind-hearted, caring young man who will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his aunts, Beth Ann Morgan and Joyce Deneen Mixon.

Survivors are his father, Douglas G. Mixon; mother, Angela Corley and step- father, Elijah Corley; brothers, Tyler D. Mixon and Jeffery Johnson; sister, Carley M. Mixon; grandparents, Garland and Sue Mixon and Becky and Mike Corley; great-grandmother, Viola Pace; aunt, Christina Morgan; and uncles, Joshua Morgan, Johnny Morgan and James Morgan.
