Funeral services for Doris Lafaye Prestridge Russell will be Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at J.B. Russell Family Cemetery. Bro. Huey Moak and Bro. Jeff Davis will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Russell, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Aug. 17, 1926, to Ralph and Myrtle Prestridge. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, J.B. Russell Jr.; parents; daughter, Janet Russell Kirtfield; brother Larry Prestridge.

Survivors are her daughters, Dorothy Allen and Sara Nelson; brother, Ralph Prestridge Jr.; grandchildren, Jason, Bonnie, Nova, Tonya, Tony and Kim; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice Ministries Inc. at 397 Brookhaven St., Brookhaven, MS 39601.
