Strong students leading at Nena Smith School of Dance

At Nena Smith’s School of Dance, students in the fifth grade and up elect — by popular vote — class captains. These captains work closely with the NSSD staff in organization and getting out information, making contacts and seeing that their dance team runs smoothly.
Captains for Fellowship of Christian Dancers were Abi Douglas of Brookhaven and Brianna Hynum of Gallman. Miss Hynum served as captain for the “Salt and Light Team” that meets on Monday nights. She will be a senior at Copiah Academy. Miss Douglas served as captain of the “Fruit of the Spirit Team” that meets on Wednesday nights. She is a recent graduate of Brookhaven High School and will be attending the University of Southern Mississippi this fall.
The senior class captain was Emily Hust. Miss Hust is a recent graduate of Copiah Academy and will be attending Mississippi State University this fall.
The junior class captain was Brianna Hynum. Miss Hynum will be a senior at Copiah Academy in the fall.
The sophomore class captain was Rachel Bozeman. Miss Bozeman will be a junior at Copiah Academy in the fall.
The freshmen class captain was Hannah McKee. Miss McKee will be a sophomore at Loyd Star High School this fall.
The eighth grade tri-county captain was Kayla Barfield. Miss Barfield will be a freshman at Wesson High School this fall.
The sixth and seventh grade tri-county captain was Kelly Grace Raiford. Miss Raiford will be an eighth grader at Wesson Attendance Center this fall.
The Thursday fifth and sixth grade tri-county class captain was Reagan Newman. Miss Newman will be a seventh grader at Brookhaven Academy this fall.
The Wednesday fifth and sixth grade tri-county class captain was Linda Grace Dunn. Miss Dunn will be a sixth grader at Wesson Attendance Center this fall.
