Help Brookhaven Academy alum get to All-Star game

This may be the first time a Brookhaven athlete is in the running for the Major League Baseball All-Star game, and your vote could help get him there.
Former Brookhaven Academy star Corey Dickerson is having a career year for the Tampa Bay Rays. He is one of the most productive hitters in the American League with a .326 batting average. He’s hit 16 home runs and 37 RBIs so far on the season.
As of Tuesday, Dickerson sits at fourth in the polls for the designated hitter spot on the American League team. You can vote for Dickerson at www.mlb.com. Voting will end Thursday. You can vote up to five times every 24 hours for a total of 35 ballots.
Dickerson’s stats make a strong case that he should make the team. He leads the American League in hits, is third in batting average, is tied for third in runs scored, is in second in total bases and in fourth in slugging percentage.
But fourth place is not where Dickerson belongs. We want him in first place so make sure you vote — often.
