Funeral services for Myrtle Rushing White, of Brookhaven, are today, May 27, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Ronnie Robinson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be today, May 27, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. White, 92, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Brandon Court Nursing Home in Brandon with her loving family by her side. She was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Franklin County, to Jack and Eula Smith Rushing.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful, loving friend and made everyone feel as though they were special.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Chester R.F. White; her parents; seven sisters; four brothers; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are her children, Carolyn Barnes, of Brandon, Wayne White and wife Melanie, of Nolensville, Tennesse, Mary Johnston, of Jackson, Troy White and wife Kathy, of Lake Placid, Florida; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
