MERIDIAN (AP) — Charges have been filed against a woman after her gun discharged inside her purse at the mall.
The Meridian Star reports that Meridian Police Sgt. Dareall Thompson says Krystal Hall and another woman fought in the Bonita Lakes Mall on Wednesday at around 9 p.m. He says one of the women used Mace.
During the fight, Thompson says a gun in Hall’s purse discharged. Police believe the gun went off in her purse because they were not able to recover any gun casings. The gun was not pulled out or pointed at anyone during the fight.
Police charged Hall with shooting in an occupied building. Hall has bonded out of jail.
