Several government offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, including Brookhaven and Lincoln County, Wesson and Copiah County, Monticello and Lawrence County and Meadville and Franklin County.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol’s drivers license office will also be closed Thursday and Friday.

The United States Postal Service will be closed Thursday only.

The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will be closed Wednesday through Friday, as will the Lincoln County School District office.

Thursday’s garbage routes for both Brookhaven and Lincoln County will be picked up Friday, with Friday’s routes being picked up Saturday.

The Daily Leader will be closed all day Thursday for the holiday.
