Funeral services for Elaine Beavers Richardson will be Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) at 2 p.m., with burial to follow in the Richardson-Turner Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Bro. Tony Ganey and Bro. Ricky Beavers will officiate the services.
Visitation is today, Nov. 22, 2016, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Richardson, 60, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Brook Manor Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born Dec. 3, 1955, in Brookhaven to Felix Jackson Beavers and Annie J. White Beavers.
She was retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center where she worked in the material management department. She was a former “employee of the year” at the hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Parhams Baptist Church in Jonesville, Louisiana. She was also a member of the Brookhaven Chapter No. 1 Order of Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Betty Gill; brothers, Thomas Beavers, Bobby Beavers and Monroe Beavers; and father-in-law, Bud Richardson.
Survivors are her husband, Julius Wayne Richardson, of Bogue Chitto; daughters, Stacey Sisk and husband John, of Brookhaven, and DeShanna Smith and husband Shane, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Charles Wayne Smith, Trevor Landon Smith and Hannah Smith; sisters, Mary Johnson, Dorothy Martin, Joyce Ruby and Johnnie Faye Boyles; brother, Lonnie Beavers; mother-in-law, Ellen Richardson Rhodes, and father-in-law, John Rhodes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Elaine Beavers Richardson’s name may be made to Gideons International Association, 405 Marquis Street, Jackson, MS 39206, for the distribution of Bibles.
