West Lincoln’s junior high basketball teams won three of four games over Loyd Star Tuesday at Jack Case Gymnasium.

In the seventh grade girls game, Loyd Star cruised to a 32-17 win over the Lady Bears. Aubrey Britt led the Lady Hornets with 16 points. West Lincoln was led by Brook Laird’s six-point effort.

In the seventh grade boys contest, West Lincoln rolled to a 50-10 win over the Hornets. Briar Hamilton was the high man for the Bears with 24 points, while Enrico Price provided 13 points. Loyd Star was led by Nathan Calcote’s seven-point night.

In junior high girls action, West Lincoln hung on for a 26-23 victory over Loyd Star. Brittany Sturkey netted 14 points for the Lady Bears, while Aubrey Britt led the way for the Lady Hornets with 10 points.

In the nightcap, West Lincoln’s junior high boys romped to a 34-19 win over Loyd Star. Jeff Carroll tallied 12 points for the Bears, while Enrico Price added 10 points. Loyd Star was led by Eric Birch with six points.

West Lincoln’s junior high teams will return to action Monday by hosting Enterprise for four games. The first game will tipoff at 4 p.m.
