L W “Dub” McCaffrey

Funeral services for L W “Dub” McCaffrey, were Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive). Burial followed in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Bro. Hal Hatten and Bro. Lance Moak officiated.

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McCaffrey, 86, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson with his loving family by his side. He was born April 8, 1930, in Lincoln County, to Jim J. and Frances Deer McCaffrey. He was a retired tool pusher. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, farming and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and stepson, Floyd McCaffery; granddaughter, Robin McCaffrey; brothers, James McCaffrey, Monroe McCaffrey and Jim McCaffrey; sister, Margie McCaffrey Smith; half-sister, Marie McCaffrey Moak; and half-brother, Teddy McCaffrey.

Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Ouida McCaffrey; sons, Roger McCaffrey and wife, Debra of Bogue Chitto, T. J. McCaffrey and wife Patricia of Bogue Chitto,  and Randy McCaffrey and wife Teresa of McComb; stepdaughter, Linda McCaffery Bowen and husband Freddie of Bogue Chitto; step-son, Darriel McCaffery and wife Virginia of Brandon; stepdaughter-in-law, Cherry McCaffery of Bogue Chitto,  and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Chuck Davis, Todd Davis, Bobby Moak, Morris Roberts, Roger Moak, and Randal Labou.
