Man charged with kidnapping off-duty deputy

Joseph Damico, 63, was arrested by the Brookhaven Police Department Friday on charges he allegedly kidnapped a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Steve Rushing said the deputy was off-duty at the time, working a second job, and the incident was not related to the deputy’s law enforcement duties.
Police Chief Bobby Bell was not immediately available for comment Monday.
