One killed in Hwy. 84 accident

One person was killed in a traffic accident earlier today on Hwy. 84 in Franklin County just west of the county line, authorities said.
The accident happened in the eastbound lane and involved a vehicle and an 18-wheeler, said Cpl. Brandon Fortenberry of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The accident is under investigation by MHP.
