Homer E. Bessonette

A memorial gathering for Homer E. Bessonette, of Bogue Chitto, will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, from 10 a.m. to noon at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Mr. Bessonette, 78, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Lincoln County.

Mr. Bessonette served his country in the United States Airforce and was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Earnest Leon Bessonette and Gladys Thomas Bessonette; brothers, Malcolm Bessonette, Lonny Bessonette, Rudolph Bessonette, Charles Bessonette, Wesley Bessonette and Junior Bessonette; sister, Elsa Lee Bessonette; and son, Daniel Paul Bessonette.

Survivors are his sons, Leon Bessonette, Homer Bessonette, Thomas Bessonette, Thomas Bessonette and Shane Bessonette; daughters, Robin Lucia and Dorian Savoir; brother, Freddie Bessonette; sister, Evelyn Smith; eight grandchildren, Justin Bessonette, Jeffrey Lucia, Chris Lucia, Rebecca Lucia, Melissa Bessonette, Thomas Laiden Bessonette, Evan Lee Bessonette and Briana White; and one great-grandchild, Kayleana Bessonette.
