Funeral services for Theresa Nell Flowers of Brookhaven are Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Old St. John Baptist Church with burial in St. John Cemetery. Pastor Wyatt Lewis will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, from 3 until 5 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Bude.

Mrs. Flowers, 58, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at Country Brook Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born June 20, 1957, in Wesson to Alvin Montgomery and Rose Mary Byrd.

Preceding her in death were her father; grandparents, Ida Mae Flowers and Oliver Flowers; and two brothers, Travis Byrd and Michael Byrd.

Survivors are her two children, Angela Brewer Thomas and Frederick Flowers; mother, Rose Mary (Jimmie Lee) Byrd; special friend, James L. Johnson; four sisters, Patricia Killingsworth , Audrey Jones, Stephanie Howard and Brenda Smith; five brothers, Tracy Byrd, Jimmie Byrd, Oliver L. Flowers, Gregory Byrd and Johnnie Byrd; two aunts, Dora Newton and Daisy Washington; one uncle, Andrew Flowers; three grandchildren, Angel Wilkinson, Jontavius Wilkinson and Marquis Brewer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
