Funeral services for Louise S. Walker are Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Bro. James Jackson will be officiating the services. Pallbearers are Grant Yawn, Drew Yawn, Grayson DeVito, Charlie Hart and Cole Cuevas.
Visitation is Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Walker, 84, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1931 in Lincoln County to Marshall and Charity (Smith) Smith.
Mrs. Walker was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. She was the owner/operator of the Chatter Box Beauty Shop in Bogue Chitto. She loved to quilt, to travel and visit with family and friends. She was an active member of the Eastern Star in Bogue Chitto and an active member of the WMU at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Marshall and Charity (Smith) Smith; husband, Edward Earl Walker; sisters, Margie Martin and Marguerite Corban; and brother, Grover Smith.
Survivors are her daughters, Wanda Walker Parker and her husband, David, of Bogue Chitto and Cindy Walker Yawn and husband, Steve, of Bogue Chitto; son, Eddie Walker and wife, Hope, of Bogue Chitto; sisters, Penny Hart, Brenda Montgomery and Geraldine Etheridge; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
