Mr. and Mrs. James Barker III, of Wesson, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Leigh Barker, of Wesson, to Jamison Bryant Dodd, of Picayune.

He is the son of Donald and Ginny Dodd, of Picayune.

She is the granddaughter of the late Buddy and the late Buddy and Myrtis Leonard, of Wesson, the late Delphine Harris, of Hazlehurst, and Dorothy Barker and the late James Barker Jr.

He is the grandson of James and Montez Whitfield, of Picayune, and Anna Dodd and the late Jimmy Dodd of Picayune.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center and a 2013 graduate of Mississippi College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Baptist Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 2010 graduate of Picayune Memorial High School and a 2013 graduate of Mississippi College where he received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. He is currently attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Wesson Baptist Church. A reception will follow at Old Wesson School at 6 p.m.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
