1 arrested in Wendy’s armed robbery

A 16-year-old was arrested Monday afternoon after the armed teenager allegedly robbed a patron at Wendy’s.
Brookhaven Police Chief Bobby Bell confirmed a report of an armed robbery at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wendy’s restaurant. It was reported that the subject pulled a gun on a man, took his money and took off running behind Wendy’s and behind the Spanish Inn through the woods.
Officers surrounded the area, spotted him and chased him on foot throughout the neighborhood where he was apprehended. Officers recovered the money and the gun the juvenile used in the incident.
