Wolfpack finish fourth, Heine named to All-Tournament Team

CORINTH – The Co-Lin Wolfpack finished fourth with a two-day total of 592 in the MACJC Event #2 held at Shiloh Ridge Golf Cub in Corinth hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Meridian Community College won the tournament with a two-day total of 560 followed by Mississippi Gulf Coast at 565 and East Central at 578. Northwest finished fifth at 607 followed by Hinds at 611. Itawamba and East Mississippi tied for seventh at 635 and Northeast finished at 647.
Freshman Philip Heine led the way for the Wolfpack firing a 5-under 139 and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Cole Arseneault followed at 150, Jason Byrd at 151, Brandon Blakney at 154, and Joseph Dendy at 155. Drake Nelson, competing as an individual, finished at 162.
Meridian’s Lance Strickland led from start to finish firing a 13-under 131. Colin Troxler of Mississippi Gulf Coast followed at 134, Zack Hammons of East Central shot 138, and George Kawell of Mississippi Gulf Coast finished at 140. All four joined Heine on the All-Tournament Team.
The Wolfpack will host the MACJC’s Event #3 on Oct. 3-4 at Wolf Hollow Golf Club.
